BDNY 2025 Recap: Casa Nemo, Where the Ocean Meets the Sun
By: Nemo Tile + Stone
This year at BDNY, Casa Nemo was imagined as a place where the ocean meets the sun a sensory journey inspired by coastal horizons, Mediterranean architecture, and the emotional power of color. Through material storytelling and intentional design choices, our booth explored how surfaces can echo atmosphere.

From custom mosaic work to sculptural tile installations, Casa Nemo set the tone for what’s next in material expression.
Here are the defining moments from BDNY 2025:
A Mosaic Born from the Horizon - Crafted with Bisazza
Our custom mosaic with Bisazza served as the visual anchor of the booth referencing the point where water meets light. The color palette blended sun-bleached warmth with coastal blues, creating a geometric interpretation of the horizon line. Designers gravitated toward:
- A fully custom pattern designed exclusively for BDNY
- A palette inspired by Mediterranean sky and sea
- The concept of mosaic as narrative not just surface
It became one of the most photographed elements of the show and captured the theme instantly.

The Zellige Arch - A Tiled Passage to the Sea
The Zellige arch invited guests into Casa Nemo like a doorway to the shoreline. Its handmade texture and tonal variation of greens and blues mimicked sunlight on water, creating motion across the tiles as visitors passed through.
We showed how Zellige can be used both decoratively and architecturally.
